Visits without entering of personal data
The website of PCN can be used without providing personal data. If such data is collected on our website, this is done with the consent of the user.

Cookies
We use cookies when you visit our website. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer and saved by your browser. They are used to improve the functionality and security of our pages. Cookies do not harm your device and do not contain viruses.

The majority of the cookies we use are so-called session cookies. These are automatically reset at the end of your visit ("session"). Other cookies remain stored on your device until you delete them. They allow our website to recognise your browser the next time you visit.

We deliberately refrain from using tracking and profiling systems such as Google Analytics.

Server-Log-Files
The provider of the websites collects and stores some of the information automatically transmitted to us by the user's browser in its server log files. This data does not qualify as personal data, but includes information such as the user's browser type (Safari, Google Chrome, Internet Explorer, Firefox) and the browser version, which cannot be attributed to a specific person. This server-log data is not merged with personal data.

Membership and newsletter
When you sign up as member of the Private Claimants Network and our newsletter, we collect a limited amount of personal data from you. These are:

First name and name
Organisation and city
Email

The collection of this data is essential for the functioning of the network and allows us to plan events and send out our newsletter. Members can unsubscribe from the network and newsletter at any time. In connection with the newsletter, we deliberately refrain from using tracking systems and analysis tools.

We manage our newsletter subscriber list using the newsletter delivery platform «MailChimp». MailChimp stores the above mentioned subscribers' data on its servers in the USA and is under a legal duty to take care of the IT- and data security pursuant to its Data-Processing-Addendum. MailChimp uses the details of our subscribers exclusively for sending our newsletter on our behalf. MailChimp is not entitled to contact our subscribers for its own purposes and does not pass on your data to third parties. We have ensured by means of an opt-out declaration that MailChimp does not use the data of our subscribers for its own analysis purposes. MailChimp is subject to the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Shield Framework and the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Shield Framework. For further information, we kindly ask you to consult the Privacy Policy of MailChimp. MailChimp also offers you various options in relation to the data processing by them and the deletion of your data held by them.

Legal Basis of the Data Processing

The legal basis for the processing of personal data by us is principally art. 13 para. 1 of the Federal Data Protection Act (FDPA) (consent of the data subject) and art. 13 para. 2 lit. a FDPA (in direct connection with the conclusion or performance of a contract).

Storing

We will store your personal data for as long as it is necessary for your membership in the network and the delivery of the newsletter. You can unsubscribe from the network and thus also from the newsletter at any time and/or request that we irrevocably delete your data.

Passing on of Data to Third Parties

As explained above, we work together with MailChimp in connection with newsletter management. This newsletter delivery platform was carefully selected by us and meets the highest security standards. We only disclose data to service partners to the extent necessary for them to provide their services.
